Provider Strato nutzt erneuerbare Energie!

Gerade lese ich in meinem Treo die Heise News und entdecke die folgende Schlagzeile: "Strato im grünen Gewand". Darin ist zu lesen, dass der Provider Strato seine Stromversorgung wohl komplett auf erneuerbare Energien umgestellt hat! Begleitend haben sie wohl nocht andere Maßnahmen zur Reduktion ihrer CO2 Emission gestartet.

Ich bin nicht wirklich von Strato begeistert. Fast alle meiner Domains sind schon vor längerem auf einen anderen Server umgezogen, mit Ausnahme meiner allerersten Domain grischa.de. Aber diese News hat mich doch sehr gefreut. Ist für alle gut. Strato hat vor allem einen ziemlichen Werbebonus davon, da es das wohl als erster Provider bekannt gibt. Diese Werbung will ich in diesem Falle dann auch gerne mal unterstützen. :-)

Außerdem werde ich wohl meinen eigenen Provider mal fragen, wie das bei ihm so aussieht. Mein Provider ist klasse, aber wenn der auch noch erneuerbare Energien benutzen würde, wäre ich noch mehr begeistert. Würde mir sogar wert sein, den ein oder anderen Euro mehr dafür zu bezahlen.

Fragt doch auch mal euren Provider, woher er eigentlich seine Energie bezieht, ich finde die Idee von Strato ehrlich gesagt extrem gut! :-)
