Suchmaschinen in FireFox

Huch? Das kannte ich ja noch gar nicht: Ich wollte endlich mal das Eng./Deutsch Wörterbuch von leo.org in die kleine Suchleiste von FireFox (meist oben links, default mit Google belegt) einbinden. Ich erinnere mich, dass ich beim letzten Mal eine Art Plugin installieren musste. Inzwischen scheint das erheblich einfacher und standartisierter geworden zu sein:

Bei manchen Seiten leuchtet die Mini Suche von FireFox anders farbig auf (siehe Bild oben links). In dem Fall kann man die Suchauswahl (den kleinen Pfeil nach unten) aufklappen und bekommt dort angeboten, eine zur Seite passende Suche hinzuzufügen. Dies passiert z.B. bei leo.org oder Wikipedia.

War das immer schon so, oder ist das ein neues Feature von FF 3?
